Visit Franz Liszt Museum - Bayreuth, Germany

Franz Liszt (1811 - 1886)

He was one of the famous Hungarian composer, virtuoso pianist and conductor in 19th century.

Visited the museum last Autumn, September 2015. Currently, ground floor is Franz Liszt Museum whereas first floor belongs to another family.

Franz Liszt died here in this house in Bayreuth, Germany due to pneumonia. During this time, he was here because of the Bayreuth Festival hosted by his daughter, Cosima, (married to Richard Wagner) in the year of 1886.

He was buried in the cemetery in Bayreuth, which is nearby this house with walking distance. We were there and paid tribute to him in front of his grave.

Photos was took with permission.

Adult Student Wedding Performance - Canon in D

One of my working adult student, Kevin, performed violin performance together with his wife during their wedding dinner on May'15, Goodwood Park Hotel, located in Orchard, Singapore.

Congratulations! Wish them happy marriage and love forever !!

Behind the scene - Rehearsal

To make their special big day with sweet memories, they started to practice this piece on Feb'15. They came to my class for rehearsal and both were started by having individual lesson first, and later on duet together. The bride familiar with piano and the bridegroom familiar with violin only. Therefore, I was in the role of "Conductor & Director" by listening, observing, monitoring, asking for "Cut" session and pointing out areas to improve, in order to present the best to the audiences for both types of musical instrument.

During rehearsal, pitch, rhythm, expression and a lot of details are advised and taught with demonstrations, on both instruments. They were hard working, sacrificing a lot of time to ensure both violin and piano able to coordinate well for this piece, Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel.

Other than that, performing on stage required to take note, eg. music stand, ensure violin to be in tune, sheet music etc.

Bravo and clap for their performance!! Well Done and Great Job!!
